Hi! I'm Sarah Olick, a graphic designer based in Arlington, VA. I was born and raised in New York City. I completed a BS in Strategic Communications with a focus in Media Design, from the University of Colorado - Boulder, with two minors in Media Production and Creative Technology Design. I also completed two graphic design internships while at CU Boulder for EarthHero and StartSomeGood. During my senior year of undergrad, I realized how advertising-focused the program at CU Boulder was and decided I wanted to pursue a career in graphic design much more so than a career in advertising. For this reason, I went on to complete an MFA in Graphic Design at Boston University. During my time at BU, I focused on areas of graphic design such as editorial design, typeface design, and accessibility in graphic design. After graduating from BU, I spent time freelancing in Atlanta before relocating to Northern Virginia to work as a graphic designer and marketing coordinator for Corcoran McEnearney's Old Town Alexandria office. I am now on the hunt for what's next, hoping to find a design-first position where I can let my creativity shine. When I'm not working, I'm usually knitting, taking pottery classes, and spending time with my senior chihuahua, Penny.
